Noelle is 11 weeks old today and she still spits up alot. The first few weeks i finally realized she was spitting up so much because i wasnt burping her properly, but it's still going strong. She barfs when i burp her, when she wakes up, 3 or 4 times between feeding and it's not a worry that she isn't gaining weight because she's already 14 lbs, but i just worry because i can only imagine how painful it is for her to constantly be puking, and often out her nose. I am breastfeeding by the way. Does anyone have any clue on how i can reduce her spitting up?

My best friend's son did it for the first year of his life. It was soooo bad that he had to be held outwards so he wouldn't puke on you! He basically had to outgrow it. I think the spincter muscle was weak and so he couldn't hold his food down. Your daughter might have the same issue. He was fat and healthy, too so it wasn't a problem. Now he is stick thin...lol

if she seems like she is in pain or is losing weight I would see her dr. cuz it might be reflux.....if she isn't in any pain and has no weight issues then it doesnt bother her so you dont have anything to worry about....as morgan has gotten older he is definitely spitting up more
